*California law applies to all e-bike and e-scooter demos. Class 3 e-bikes (pedal-assist up to 28 mph) are restricted to riders 16 and older, and helmet use is required. E-scooter riders must hold a valid driver's license. Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes are open to all ages; riders under 18 are required to wear helmets. All e-bikes on this course comply with CA legal limits: pedal assistance capped at 28 mph, throttle assistance capped at 20 mph, motors under 750 watts, and all bikes have operable pedals. California has specific laws governing e-bike classifications. Before purchasing, make sure any e-bike you're considering meets California's legal requirements for the road, trail, or path where you plan to ride. Learn more at oag.ca.gov.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the hours for Demo Days Festival?
The festival runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day, Saturday and Sunday. All attendees enter starting at 10:00 AM. Arriving early is a good idea to get first access to demo experiences.
Where is Demo Days Festival in San Francisco?
Demo Days Festival San Francisco is at Alameda Point, located at 2151 Ferry Point, Alameda, CA 94501. Alameda Point is on the former Naval Air Station Alameda, situated on the west end of Alameda Island directly across the bay from San Francisco. The venue is approximately 30 minutes from downtown San Francisco by car or ferry, and about 20 minutes from Oakland.
How do I get to Alameda Point from San Francisco for Demo Days?
The most direct route from San Francisco is the Bay Bridge to I-880 South, then exit at 23rd Avenue toward Alameda and follow signs to Alameda Point. From Oakland, take I-880 South to the Alameda exits via the Webster or Posey Tube. On-site general parking is available for $20. The San Francisco Bay Ferry also runs service between the Ferry Building in San Francisco and Alameda, which is a convenient car-free option for attendees coming from the city.
Is Demo Days San Francisco actually in San Francisco or somewhere else?
The event is marketed as the San Francisco stop but is held at Alameda Point in Alameda, CA, across the bay from the city. This is a common setup for large outdoor events in the Bay Area, where flat, open event space at that scale is not available in San Francisco proper. Alameda Point is easy to reach from San Francisco, Oakland, the East Bay, and the South Bay, making it a central location for the broader metro area.
What is Demo Days Festival?
Demo Days Festival is North America's largest outdoor demo festival and an all-day event in major US cities where you can drive cars, ride motorcycles, try e-bikes, experience robotics, autonomous driving, and emerging mobility technology, and take your kids to one of the most entertaining zones they've ever been in. How long do people typically spend at Demo Days?
The average Demo Days attendee stays over 3 hours. Most people stay the full day. The festival covers over 1.5 million square feet with more demos than you can realistically fit into a single day. Our advice: arrive at gate open, hit the most popular demos with the shortest morning lines first, and pace yourself.
Is Demo Days Festival good for kids and families?
The Kids Zone is consistently one of the most popular areas at every Demo Days event. It features electric go-karts, balance bikes, crazy carts, and hoverboards, all supervised and safe. New for 2026: Kids' Cybertruck Drag Racing. Children 5 and under get in free with a ticketed adult. A Family 4-Pack ticket option is available.
What is the EV Reality Check at Demo Days?
EV Reality Check is a live expert stage powered by GreenCars that runs all day, both days, at every Demo Days event. Sessions cover charging infrastructure, winter driving range, towing capability, total cost of ownership versus gas, and federal and state tax credit eligibility, with real experts answering real questions. No sales script, no pressure. Complete the GreenCars Matchmaker on-site and get priority lane access to demos from participating brands.
What should I bring to Demo Days?
Your driver’s license (required for car and motorcycle demos). Motorcycle demos require a helmet and motorcycle license. Comfortable shoes (the festival is large and you will walk). Non-Aerosol Sunscreen. A light bag that clears security quickly. If you plan to buy food on-site, bring a card or digital wallet. No cash accepted. If you are planning to try e-bikes, scooters, or other micro-mobility demos, feel free to bring your own helmet for comfort, though safety gear is available on-site.
Is Demo Days an outdoor event?
Entirely. Demo Days does not do convention centers. The outdoor format is what makes real demo courses possible: real streets for motorcycles, real dirt for off-road courses, real scale for flying car displays.
What happens at Demo Days if it rains?
Demo Days does not cancel for weather. Some individual demo experiences may pause briefly in extreme conditions, but the festival runs. Dress for the forecast and come ready for a full day.
How is Demo Days different from a traditional auto show?
At a traditional auto show, you walk convention center floors and sit in stationary vehicles behind barriers. At Demo Days, you drive them on outdoor courses built for actual driving. Beyond vehicles, Demo Days includes motorcycles, e-bikes, off-road tracks, UTVs, robotics, flying cars, autonomous driving experiences, live music, food trucks, and a full Kids Zone. Traditional auto show attendance has been declining for years. Demo Days is growing because it gives people something auto shows fundamentally cannot: the experience of actually using the product.
Where can I test drive cars near me in 2026?
Demo Days Festival tours major US cities in 2026: Los Angeles, California on June 27-28; San Francisco, California on August 22-23; and Dallas, Texas on November 7-8. Every event runs Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM. General Admission from $24.99.
What is the Terrain Park at Demo Days?
The Terrain Park is a new-for-2026 off-road course designed specifically for trucks, SUVs, and crossovers to demonstrate real off-road capability. Attendees ride along on a 3-4 minute course through hill climbs, articulation mounds, side tilts, and rugged switchbacks. Included with every ticket.
What is the Adventure Track at Demo Days?
The Adventure Track is a new-for-2026 dirt course built for UTVs and side-by-sides, featuring hairpin turns, steep climbs, and uneven terrain that gives you a real feel for what these vehicles were built to handle. Family-friendly. No off-road experience required. Included with every ticket.
The Adventure Track also includes electric dirt bike experiences for experienced riders only. Riders participating in dirt bike demos must bring their own helmet and protective safety gear to participate.
Do I need off-road experience to participate in the Adventure Track?
Most Adventure Track experiences are beginner-friendly and designed for first-time riders and families. However, electric dirt bike demos are reserved for experienced riders only and require riders to bring their own helmet and protective gear.
Is safety gear provided for the Adventure Track?
Safety requirements vary by vehicle type. For UTV and side-by-side demos, required safety equipment is typically provided onsite. For electric dirt bike demos, riders must bring their own helmet and protective safety gear.
Are kids allowed on the Adventure Track?
Many Adventure Track experiences are family-friendly, though age and height requirements may vary depending on the manufacturer and vehicle type. Electric dirt bike demos are intended for experienced riders only.
What is the Hands-Free Zone at Demo Days?
The Hands-Free Zone is a Full Self-Driving ride experience located in Auto Alley. Courtesy of Tesla, the vehicle navigates the route using advanced driver-assist technology while you sit in the driver’s seat and experience it firsthand. Included with every ticket.
What electric vehicle events are happening in the Bay Area this year?
Demo Days Festival San Francisco runs August 22-23 at Alameda Point in Alameda, CA. Can non-automotive brands exhibit at Demo Days Festival?
Yes. Demo Days is an outdoor consumer festival, not an auto show. Solar, energy, tech, robotics, food, and lifestyle brands all activate at Demo Days alongside vehicle manufacturers.

All sales are final. Tickets, vehicle registrations, upgrades, and add-ons are non-refundable.
Please review your selected city, date, and ticket type carefully before completing your purchase.
